Beating adversity at the time you’re facing it can seem like an impossible task. But looking back, overcoming challenges by facing them head-on can teach you so many things about life and yourself that you didn’t think possible. One such story of a woman who conquered all odds to pursue what she loves and truly believes in is that of Aditi Oberoi Malhotra. Born in India and living in Los Angeles. She came to the US almost a decade back. Aditi studied fashion from NIFT and now she has built quite a fan following & has established herself as a successful LUXURY fashion blogger and social media star not only in the US but around the globe.
Aditi always had a passion for all things related to fashion and beauty and she had the professional skillset to back it. In 2015, Aditi began posting photos of her outfits and showcasing her personal style online on a blog started, named Fancy Correctitude.
Talking about how her journey began, Aditi says, “I remember when I first started blogging in 2015 it was just an outlet to share my outfits, what inspired me – from runway photos to editorials, about beauty and things I liked. Before I knew it it became my full-time business. It doesn’t matter at all where you come from, what matters is how hard you are willing to work to make it happen. The hunger to learn and to better what I do every time is important to me as an individual. I soon started seeing success as a blogger and never looked back.”
She started her blogging journey in 2015. Five years down the line, Aditi is collaborating with the likes of Givenchy, Dior, Valentino etc one of the most sought after brands in the name of luxury fashion.
If there’s one thing other young women can learn from her, that is her ability to make the best use of her passion. Although blogging is her most prominent activity, Aditi is also a model, stylist and social media strategist.
On her blog, she talks about everything from fashion, beauty, interiors, travel & lifestyle. She supports diversity and inclusivity. She talks about how the beauty and fashion industries are evolving: How social media has paved the way for a more diverse landscape. She feels her diverse background is what sets her apart from other people. She wants to use her influence to empower females worldwide, especially colored girls who often don’t get the representation they deserve.
In her 5 years as a blogger, Aditi has won several accolades by being featured in various magazines for her street style looks. Today, she’s a role model for other women and through her fashion tips, she helps them to be unafraid of accepting themselves the way they are.
Talking about the best part about running her own business, Aditi says, “I love being my own boss. It’s truly a blessing that I am fortunate enough to be able to do what I love and along the way inspire and motivate people to be able to believe in their dreams. If I can do it they can too.
