I came across this interesting 30 Beauty Questions tag and immediately I wanted to take part in it. The questions are makeup related and it is a good way to learn more about me; the blogger behind Beauty That Walks.

1. Do you remember your first makeup item?
My first makeup item was eyeshadow palettes from LA Girl. The palette was of bold colours. I had several of them in hues of green, pink, yellow, blue and more.
2. Describe your perfect mascara, have you found one that fits your specifications?
I change mascara so often. I hate a bulky packaging mascara; it is so much harder to handle. I like a mascara this will easily sweep and comb through my lashes, giving me that definition as if I’m wearing falsies.
3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from your foundation?
Huge preference goes to medium to full coverage foundation.
4. Favourite high-end makeup brand?
It is impossible to have one favourite when there are so many good high-end brands out there. I will list a few and what I like from each brand:
- MAC cosmetics for their lipsticks and concealer.
- KAT Von D star studded lipsticks
- Urban decay and Juvia’s Place eyeshadow palettes.
5. What cosmetics brands have you always wanted to try but still haven’t?
I would love to try NARS foundation and their blushes.
6. Favourite drugstore brand?
NYX cosmetics – their primer base is everything. I can shop NYX Cosmetics for a full face. The NYX lip lingerie has the perfect nudes and the butter gloss is just as perfect.
7. Do you wear false eyelashes?
I have never worn false eyelashes but I own a few. Still trying to install them properly
8. What sort of makeup can’t you leave the house without?
I don’t mind going barefaced and if I choose to wear minimal makeup it would be brows, foundation, lip gloss and a wing linger.
9. What is your most cherished beauty product?
I cherish all of my makeup; spent my hard earned money not to.
10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you pick up an item here or there or like to pick up lots all at once?
Mostly when there is a sale or an impulse purchase. I also like to buy in bulk
11. Do you have a ‘beauty budget’ or do you spend freely?
Sometimes I spend freely, other times I will spend on a budget just to get free shipping. For eg. free ship over $25, I would spend the most $30.
12. Do you utilize coupons, reward system and sales when you shop for cosmetics?
All the time! I have been a VIB at Sephora, also redeemed points for rewards. BTW shopping during makeup sale is the best time to shop especially if you are makeup hoarder; you get to purchase your favourite makeup and also save on your purchases.
13. What type of product do you buy the most of?
Lipstick and foundation
14. Is there a brand you absolutely can’t stand?
Uuhmm!! Unless I wasted my money on a poor product then no.
15. Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics such as parabens or sulfates?
I hardly check product ingredients. Once I am not allergic or get a reaction from the product then I’m fine with it.
16. Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup?
Sephora, or the specific makeup company’s website.
17. Do you like to try different skincare products or stick to a routine?
I love trying different skincare products, as I’m still trying to find one that works well for me; especially with hyperpigmentation.
18. Favourite bath and body brand?
Hands down! Bath and Body Works. Haven’t really tried any other though.
19. If you could only buy from one brand, which would you choose?
With the current state of my collection, I’d go for Kat Von D since I own not just lipsticks but eyeshadow palettes and eyeliner from her makeup product line. Still yet to try her foundation.
20. Which brand do you think has the best packaging?
I like the artistic feature of the Juvia’s Place Palette.
21. Which celebrity always has great makeup?
I like to see Rihanna in lipstick, I just admire her lips (pointed cupid bow).
22. Do you belong to any online makeup communities?
Yes! If Facebook beauty group counts.

24. Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains?
I have tried Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass fabulous lip + cheek stain before.
25. Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
Mistakes happen but I’m not clumsy
26. Do you use a makeup base/primer for the eyes?
Yes! I use a makeup base/primer for before applying makeup and eyeshadow. Also, sometimes I use a concealer and set it with powder before apply eyeshadow.
27. How many hair products do you use on a typical day?
One or two depending on the style that I would like to achieve. Being a product junkie is not easy.
28. What do you apply first, foundation or concealer?
Concealer then foundation.
29. Have you ever considered taking makeup classes?
Yes! To get the hands-on experience, even though YouTube and Facebook live tutorials exist.
30. What do you love about makeup?
I love the transformation and creativity.
