The makeup trends are constantly changing, so sometimes we’ve just got to change with it! Now that the clocks have officially gone forward, we can enjoy a few more hours of sunshine, and there’s just enough time to get that glow for summer!
Here are the biggest makeup trends that you just have to try
Dewy Glow
Okay, so this isn’t really a new trend, as we’ve been trying to make our skin look dewy for years. And let’s face it; it’s not the easiest look to achieve. We can sometimes end up looking less dewy and oilier, which is not a look we wanna rock. A top tip to steer clear of this is first set your face with some translucent loose/setting powder, and to use some setting spray. Then make sure that you highlight is heavy, and you’re good to go.
Pink Blush
This season it’s all about adding a twist to your beloved highlighter routine. Ditch the golds and the bronzes and opt for a more playful pink. This will add subtle warmth to your face and you only need a small dash on each cheekbone. If you don’t want to buy a new powder highlighter; you can mix it with an old blush you have to create your own rosy tones.
Dazzle them
Go for bold lips and eyes this year. Dazzle dust and glitter are officially the thing of the season and have been all over the catwalk. Get the look by teaming some face glitter and a solid red lip for the ultimate colour pop. Mix some dazzle duct in with your eyeliner or even a smokey eye for added drama. Perfect for your next big girl’s night out…
Bushy Brows
For years we’ve spent hours perfecting out eyebrows, pruning and plucking them endlessly. Well, it’s time to stop. Let your brows grow out and embrace the bushy look this season! Anything that means we can be a bit lazier, is something we support!
The No Make-Up Look
Alongside dazzling looks for a night out, the minimalistic makeup trend has crept in from the catwalks this year as well. Huge celebs are all over this clean skin look and we’re all for the less effort! Plus, during the summer month, we’ll hope the ability to get a little natural colour on our cheeks so we can ditch the layered foundation! By just using a little concealer, some lip balm and a light dash of mascara you can let your natural beauty shine.
