I first tried the Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter at a sleepover with my naturalist colleague. We would watch YouTube videos and style our natural hair together. Right there she introduced me to the Almond Jai Twisting Butter. After placing my fingers in the jar the almond twisting butter slides onto my fingertips. Coating my hair from root to ends I could feel my hair immediately moisturizing; I proceeded with my regular flat twist hairstyle. Immediately, I fell in love! I dipped my fingers in once more and sniff the wonderful scent of the product. The scent was natural and sweet; I almost could have eaten it. I finished up my flat twist and immediately placed my hair under a satin headwrap. The results I achieved from using the Almond Jai Twisting Butter was ah-mazing. I had to make this product as a part of my staple products for twist outs.
Switching up the methods by trying to use the product in several ways; I achieve the best style when using the product on dry hair. However, the product felt diluted and the consistency was lost whenever I place it on my damp/wet hair. I did not experience any heavy build-ups on my scalp or flakes on my hair strand. The product has a thick consistency so a little goes a long way. And it works on its own. You don’t need to mix it with more than one product to get your desired results. The main ingredient is water.
