Getting married is probably the biggest and best moment of someone’s life along with the birth of their kids. It’s something that we have all thought about at one time or another. The idea of meeting someone, falling head over heels in love with them and then decided you want to spend the rest of your life together with them is beautiful and enviable. That said when the engagement finally comes and it’s time to plan everything, a hugely important aspect is where it’s all going to go down. You’ll probably want something that suits you two and something that you’ll both be comfortable in. There are a bunch of different ideas as to where you can tie the knot, and if you’re not too sure about them, let’s take a look at some.
In A Church
Starting off, we’ll begin with the main and most popular choice. Perhaps if you’re a religious couple and want the traditional unification to be in the house of God, this is for you. You may have always pictured it happening in a church as that is only what you know, or you may want to follow in the footsteps of your family.
Private Property
Having a wedding in a privately rented location is an excellent idea as it feels more personal and intimate. You can find a home wedding venue for rent with a little online research as there are tonnes of them scattered around. If you’re not into the large, grand, commercial-type weddings, this one might be for you.
At A Hotel
If you like the idea of a beautiful venue that focuses a lot of its time on organizing and catering for big weddings, then you could do a lot worse than a large, five-star hotel. A place that has trained waiters, chefs and other experts tend to your needs.
On The Beach
Getting married on the beach is something that I think we’ve all considered at least once in our lives. It’s such a lovely thought to be stood up there, ready to tie the knot with the wind in your hair and the sun shining down — a less stressful and cheaper option.
A Cruise Ship
Another option, and it’s a good one, is the get married on a cruise liner. If you’re a couple who likes cruises through the ocean and enjoys the feel and view of being out on the open water, then why not do it? You just have to make sure that any potential guests you bring along aren’t seasick!
Something Unique
Finally, we’ll end with the notion that you can literally get married wherever you wish – as long as it’s legal and doesn’t hurt anybody! It can be something that follows the theme of how you two met or surrounding a passion that you both share. It can be as weird and as wonderful as you like. There is no need to stick to the status quo so tightly.
