Curl control, laid edges every naturalistas desire. While the edges might stand curly; there are a few products and hair care fixes that can address these issues and slick your edges in no time. I have 4b/4c, coarse textured hair. My edges are often times mischevious and tend to be more curly than straight. Keeping these edges done is an all-day fight with my hairline.
Curls Passion Fruit Curl Control Paste
The Curls Passion Fruit Control Paste is a wax liked pomade. It can be used to tame the wildest frizz, slick down edges giving you that on fleek hairline.
As the name suggests passion fruit you should be aware of what to expect. The curl control paste has a passion fruit that mild enough for the sensitive.
For the perfect hold/no residue
Curls Control paste has an incredible hold. It slicked my edges down without curling back up in minutes. I do not use the curl control paste all over my hair but it can be used on ends to prevent fairy knots and help with length retention.
While using the curl control paste on my edges I did not notice any visible signs of residue, flakiness or product buildup.
Texture and shine
The Curls Control Paste has a wax-like texture. It doesn’t give a stiff hold like common gels. However, it leaves the hair feeling soft and easy to comb through. Dab fingers or hair tool lightly to apply the product to the hair/edges. Tie hair with a silk wrap for best results. The product appears orange from the outside but it has more of a transparent look on the fingertips. It is packaged in a 4oz. small plastic jar.
Verdict: Some may consider the curls control paste to be on the pricey side but it is well worth it.
