How to Use a Facial Sauna

Facial sauna disperses a small amount of steam to an individual’s face in order to provide deep cleansing of the pores which allows the skin to look glowing. Regular usage of a facial sauna can help to remove impurities, reduce breakouts and improve the appearance of the skin while adding moisture to the skin. Because they are designed to focus steam on the face, the overall results in skin will feel soft and glowing. Nevertheless, facial saunas are also helpful for congesting or cold. It can be used to alleviate allergies, sinus problems, and respiratory disorders. This can be easily accomplished with the user’s convenience, and it is much less expensive than a salon facial.

A facial sauna should not be used more than once a week, even though it’s a deep skin cleaner, skin conditions like Rosacea can be aggravated by sweating or increased blood circulation.

In order to use a facial sauna, these tools are required:

·         Distilled water
·         Measuring cup provided 
·         Facial cleanser
·         Towel
·         Moisturizer

Step 1: Pour/fetch water in the measuring cup (provided) and pour it into the facial sauna reservoir. Place the facial mask on the sauna.

Step 2: Plug the facial sauna into a safe electricity outlet, then turn it on and allow it to preheat. Heating takes about 3-5 minutes, depending on your sauna (brand). At this time steam will begin to rise through the sauna mask.

Step 3: Cleanse face while sauna heats up.

Step 4: Place your face over the opening of the sauna and allow the steam to cover your face.  The steam will now begin to open up pores, and allowing impurities to rise to the surface. The intensity of the steam can be adjusted by moving closer or farther from the opening of the sauna mask. If, desired or for better result you can use a towel to cover your head while your face is placed in the sauna mask. But be careful it gets too hot!!!

Step 5: Give your face a minimum of 5 minutes to steam and a maximum of 15-30 minutes, according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Step 6: When the sauna facial is complete, pat your face dry and apply moisturizer.

Step 7: Turn the sauna off and allow it to cool, empty the remaining water. Clean the machine according to manufacturer’s instructions and store for further usage.

Warnings 

·         Do not move the unit when it contains water
·         Do not use the facial sauna as a humidifier
·         Do not use the facial sauna without water
·         Take caution when using a sauna, steam can cause burns

Tips for better result

·         Gently exfoliate your skin after using the sauna and before applying moisturizer.
·         Place a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil in the sauna and inhale the steam deeply to relieve congestion
