There’s much to love about going on a long travel trip. You’ll be brushing off the humdrum of the every day, seeing new places, meeting new faces, and all-around having a great time from beginning to end. While it’s the fun factor that should be front and center, you’ll also want to look good while you’re doing so. But that isn’t’ always as straightforward as you’d like. You can make yourself look awesome when you’re at home and have all your products with you, but what about when you’re on the road? Let’s take a look at some useful tips that’ll push you in the right direction.
A Range of Outfits
Space is limited, sure, but if there’s one thing we should all know, it’s that you don’t need to take your entire wardrobe with you to look good. For starters, it’s really no big deal if you wear the same outfit a couple of times, and especially so if you have access to a washing machine. The key is to have a range of outfits available — daytime, casual, and something a little smarter. Pack all your big hitter items, though be sure to check the weather before you go.
In the Beauty Bag
If you could have it your way, you may want to bring another suitcase just full of beauty products, but that’s not possible. So you’ll need to get a little creative. A good tip is to buy small travel containers, and put small amounts of all your essentials in them. That’ll mean you’ll have access to all your favorite items, just in miniature form. Since there may be times when you’re unable to wash your hair in a shower, it’s best to buy the best dry shampoo, too. That’ll have your hair looking at its best even when you’re taking a long trip from point A to point B.
Sun Safe
One of the best things about taking a trip to a beautiful destination is having the ability to spend long hours soaking up the sun rays. That can be relaxing, but it can also be a little dangerous. Even if you currently live in a sunny place, you’re unlikely to be spending too many hours in the sunshine each day. So be sure to practice sun safety while you’re away, which means wearing lotion and avoiding the sun during the main hours, especially if you have pale skin. There are other risks associated with the sun, too — so it’s always good to keep things smart.
Staying Fresh
It’s always possible to get carried away when we’re on an adventure. We want to do everything! And that means late nights. Which can be fun, of course, but if it’s every night, then it won’t be long before you begin to show the effects. So while you’ll be eager to see everything on offer, be sure to schedule in some rest — you’ll look much better in your vacation snaps if you’re not continually wrestling with bags under your eyes.
