All wedding receptions need an excellent location. Unfortunately, it’s easy to choose somewhere that’s not that great. Your guests have probably been to countless wedding receptions in hotels or bars, and they need something different! If you really want to make a statement, then try out one of these mind-blowing wedding reception locations:
Outside under a marquee
Why bother searching for the perfect wedding reception when you can create one yourself? A wedding marquee can add a touch of class and elegance to this special occasion. The beauty of this idea is that you can set it up wherever you want. All you need is some open space, and you’re done! You can decorate the marquee however you like, and you can choose one that accommodates the size of your reception party. Plus, you get the benefit of fresh air and amazing outside views. It’s the perfect idea for summer weddings!
A yacht
That’s right, you can host a wedding reception on a yacht. This is definitely an idea for those of you that want to go BIG. There are corporate yacht charter companies that let businesses rent yachts for events, but most of them will also cater to weddings. It’s worth inquiring to see if there’s one near you. Obviously, this is such a unique venue for your reception. I doubt anyone has ever experienced this before, so it will live long in the memory. There’s also the fact that you can enjoy phenomenal views and scenery from a yacht. This makes it perfect for wedding photos! Again, it’s a bit ‘out there’ for some, but if you want to create a moment that will probably never be topped, then a yacht is a brilliant wedding reception location.
A traditional country house
Initially, this doesn’t sound like a crazy wedding reception idea. However, traditional country homes can be absolutely stunning. First of all, you get an exceptional location in the country. Again, the views here will be stunning. Depending on where you go, you might have large open gardens with ponds, fountains, or even a vineyard. Then, you have a grand interior that oozes class and luxury. You’ll find plenty of country homes that are specifically renovated to be wedding locations. So, there’ll be equipped with everything you need for a brilliant day. Also, and this is the thing I love the most, it might be possible to stay overnight. Certainly, most of these big manor houses have accommodation for the bride and groom. But, some may also have a few extra bedrooms for guests. So, people can pay to stay over and enjoy a more immersive experience.
Now, there’s nothing wrong with picking a typical reception venue. Hotels are perfectly fine if they suit your needs. But, if you want to do something a bit different, then why don’t you broaden your mind? These three ideas are a little bit outside of the box, so they offer guests a new experience. Lots of wedding receptions are very similar, so maybe it’s time you broke the mold!
