Are you sitting by the window, looking out of the rainy window, wishing everything was just back to normal? Well, you’re not the only one. Hundreds of millions of people are all wishing the same thing, just hoping that they can go outside and enjoy life once more. The big wide world is waiting for all of us. When the pandemic is over, we will want to rush outside and travel to all the best destinations on the West Coast. One of which is Miami, and considering that it has to offer compared to other places, it should really be in your top 5. Here are just a few reasons why.
The point
In the south of the city, is The Point. This is a point of view, whereby the entire harbor and the horizon can be seen unimpeded. Thanks to the open waters towards the east of the city, where not even small boats and sailboats venture, there is clean open air for you to enjoy. The smell of the sea and the view out toward the Virginia Key island is incredible. This is where you go, not for the attractions or the food. You just go to The Point to be with your thoughts, enjoy the company and chat with someone you love. The Four Seasons hotel is very close by and there are plenty of tall apartment blocks nearby if you would like this to be your morning view as you stay for your visit.
Test your core
Miami has many different cultures, as many people from Cuba and Puerto Rico live here. However, there are lots of people who do traditional European food and many that have street food that is from further afield. One of the best things to do during restrictions is to go out and do some paddleboard yoga. Your core strength will be put to the test, as you venture out into calm waters and unwind with a class of students and your yoga instructor. Of course, everyone is far away so social distancing is observed and you’re also out in fresh open air. So, you just need to maintain your balance and stay upright. If you fall in the water, don’t worry, your instructor will help you and you’ve attached to your board anyway.
Little Havana
People watching is almost like a pastime in Miami. You can’t blame the city for having this unspoken tradition, everyone’s just so laid back. The beach is right there, like two feet away from you, nobody judges you and everyone gets along. Little Havana is the best place to go and just sit down, to do nothing but enjoy the day. Drink some Cuban coffee, which has a nutty roasted touch. You can find real Cuban cigars sold by vendors and you can enjoy some of the best street food you will find in America.
Miami is a place most people dream about visiting at least once in their lifetime. You can still visit despite the restrictions. Just as long as your social distance, you can enjoy most of the things we normally do.
