About North Sails
North Sails was found by Lowell North. He is an American sailor and a 1957 Olympic Gold Medalist and five time world champion. Being an engineer, Lowell focused on building sails that were convincingly faster than any competitors. Over the years, Lowell and his team innovated technologies that conquered wind and water, explored the ocean and won races due to his scientific approach of sailing and sailmaking. Lowell was known as a scholar of the technology, which was quite complicated.
