Taliah Waajid Curl Sealer

What is Taliah Waajid Curl Sealer?

A light, alcohol-free, conditioning hydrating gel. Stops frizz, adds moisture, defines, shapes and seals in any size or texture of curl. Dries soft and adds shine with no flaking.

Directions

Apply after Clean-N-Curly shampoo. Use on wet hair to set in curls. Use on dry hair to revitalize curls. Avoid combing/fingering through hair for at least 10-15 minutes to help seal in curls and prevent frizz. Also holds hair in place for ponytails, pinups, twist outs etc.

Review

I was amazed by what this product did to some naturalistas hair on YouTube, so I was very anxious to purchase it to try on my own hair. After hours of searching online for the best site to buy this product from I finally found the product for sale on Amazon. Then I made my purchase. Not too surprisingly the product arrives and the bottle was a little bit messy (poor packaging), the product inside was fine though. It had a wonderful overpowering fragrance.

I used the Taliah Waajid Curl Sealer directly as stated on the bottle but to my surprise, the end results were clearly not what I expected. I placed the Taliah Waajid Curl Sealer on single strands of my twist out to lock in the curls but it either made the curls messy or didn’t lock it in. Worse it made my hair really flaky, every strand that I had placed the Taliah Waajid Curl Sealer had a bunch of white balled flakes.

Conclusion

I really wanted to like this product but with the amount of flake/residue it left behind doesn’t make me want to purchase it again. Also, I didn’t use it with any other product just on freshly washed hair. Eventually, I ended up having to wear my hair in a bun that day.

Most definitely I didn’t want to wash my hair again since I didn’t have ample time. I was trying to dust the flaky residue from my hair. It fell all over my skin and I didn’t want my skin to be irritated. I don’t normally do wash n’ go, so I only tried it on dry hair maybe it will make a difference if my hair was wet.  Curl Sealer

The Taliah Waajid Curl Sealer is a clear substance. It can be used to shape and seal in curls for natural hair. It can be used on twist out, ponytails and various other natural hairstyles. The product has a very pleasant scent and it is packed in a 6fl. oz container.

FIRST I WASHED MY HAIR IN THE SHAMPOO THAN JUST PUT THE SEALER ON IT WHILE IT WAS STILL WET. MY HAIR CAME OUT GREAT, NO FLAKES, JUST CURLS AND SHINE. THE NEXT MORNING I JUST SPRAYED IT WITH WATER AND IT LOOKED FANTASTIC;. I HAVE PROBABLY TRIED EVERY OTHER CURL PRODUCT HERE AND THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT LEAVE MY HAIR THE WAY I WANT IT. At this point in my journey this is one of my favorite products. It is REALLY a stand alone product because using it too close to another product will cause problems. It also says on the jar not to use with the "leave in masque" that is in this product line, so that let me know that it probably isn't good with any other brand of leave in anything.I just finished my first jar and I will be purchasing my second jar this evening when I get off work. Read Less
