Trying to find these Wet n’ Wild MegaLast Lipstick in the store wasn’t easy since they sell out really fast, anyways I was lucky enough to get them online at Walgreens. I didn’t get the entire collection only the colors I was excited about trying. Nevertheless, after trying these I fell in love with them and I consider them to be my newly become drugstore fave.

There are about 26 different shades in the MegaLast collection and so far I own 5 and thinking of purchasing more. The formula is creamy and opaque, the bold, vivid colours are also highly pigmented and long lasting. It has no shimmer or sparkle, the application is full coverage and the finish is semi-matte. If you have dry lips, moisturizing before applying is required to avoid your lips from flaking. These lipsticks are fragrance-free.

The lipsticks are packaged in a black plastic tube with a transparent (clear) plastic cover. The tube is flimsy and the lipstick tends to smear on the cover. The packaging is also shrink wrap for protection. The bottom of the lipsticks is labeled with name and numbers to identify each colour. I had to be extra cautious when taking the lid since I didn’t want the lipstick to be smeared on the cover.

Pros

  • 4 hour long wearing
  • semi-matte finish
  • glides on easily
  • rich velvety color
  • doesn’t cake, feather or bleed
  • made with hydrating ingredients
  • easy to identify

Cons

  • poor packaging
  • lipstick smear on cover
  • transferable
The MegaLast lipstick does not have much-staying power as MAC lipstick, it stays in place for at least 4 hours and will fade between 6-8hrs. When wearing the MegaLast lipstick you will also experience a little bit of colour transfer, since the colours don’t set on lips properly but if applied with fingers to smooth out or with a lip brush or simply blotting with a tissue then the excess pigment will come off and whatever left will settle on lips and leave a vibrant colour payoff.
I didn’t have much problem with the lipsticks settling on my lips but I’ve noticed a little transfer in the colour. These lipsticks do stain lips also, so a good makeup remover is required for removal…..
