Time to De-Stress
During what has been quite a stressful and turbulent year, it is always good to remember that you matter as well and should try to have some TLC moments to keep sane and look after your own wellbeing. You might be busy each day working from home or a family member is driving you insane and you need some quiet time to yourself. Just make sure that you look after yourself too, we tend to look after others before focusing on our own wellbeing at times.
Recreate A Spa Experience
You could buy your favorite products online, or be a little adventurous and splash out on some new beauty care treatments. After having a lovely relaxing bubble bath you could apply a nourishing facial, whilst you paint your nails, do a pedicure, and listen to your favorite songs.
If you want to venture down a more natural route then you could always make your own skin mask with ingredients that you are likely to have at home anyway. Can’t get more organic and natural than that!
Keep That Smile Sparkling
You might not have been to the dentist for a while due to lockdown restrictions so might be best to get in contact with Polished Dentistry. But you can certainly keep your teeth in good condition until your next visit. Try and brush them at least twice a day, floss, and use mouthwash to keep them sparkling clean. At least you won’t have to pretend to your dentist that you look after them religiously when they ask you next time you are sat in the chair when you return with a pearly white smile.
Fragrances and Scents to Relax The Mind
If you want to create a haven to relax in, you need to set the mood first, so some lovely fragranced candles scattered around your room with a book in hand to escape to is a good place to start. If you have plain candles you could always just add a few drops of essential oil which will slowly drift into the air and release its fragrant tones. Oils like Rose, Ylang Ylang, Frankincense, Lemongrass and of course Lavender will help promote a feeling of calm and tranquility. Goodness knows you need a bit of calm during these stressful times.
Boost Your Self-Esteem
Something which is worth doing is writing down your thoughts and feelings into a journal each day. You could write positive notes only (no negatives!) of things you have achieved that day and what you plan to do the following day. They don’t need to be big life goals but instead smaller achievements that you can accomplish on a daily basis to give yourself a little boost and sense of achievement.
It is good to remind yourself that your overall wellbeing is important too and not to overload yourself with everyday stresses, as they can certainly build up over time.
